Manama, October 2 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, stressed the importance of the role of national companies and their contribution to the economy. He commended the dedicated efforts of their board of directors to develop strategies to support economic growth.
He was speaking during his meeting today, Sheikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aluminum Bahrain (Alba). He praised the company’s role in enhancing Bahrain’s position in the aluminum industry worldwide.
The Speaker of the Shura Council praised the advanced level of the company and its success for more than five decades, praising the national competencies working in it. He said that the company represents an honorable model for emerging national companies that have contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s competitiveness in manufacturing industries. He wished the company more success in its development projects and programmes.
For his part, Sheikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa praised the role of the legislative authority in supporting the development of national companies. He praised the national responsibility assumed by the Speaker and members of the Shura Council and their keenness to update legislation and align it with the development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
