Manama, October 2, (US): Major General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, chaired here today the meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communication Technology.
The Minister of Interior confirmed the continuation of the development of government information technology services within the framework of the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. And the prime minister. He praised the cooperation and coordination between the Information and e-Government Authority and all ministries and government agencies.
Members approved the minutes of the previous meeting. They reviewed various topics, including the United Nations e-government report and the importance of Bahrain’s success in maintaining its distinguished level of e-government.
The committee reviewed smart phone applications and the strategic approach to standardizing them. The performance of government agencies in some electronic systems in the second quarter of 2022 was also discussed.
With regard to the digital transformation plan, the meeting discussed the services that will be provided in the next phase and the standard customer service manual.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Interior thanked the members of the committee for their dedication to developing government services for all citizens and residents.
