Shura Chairman meets with Egypt’s Senate President

Cairo, February 21 (BNA) Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh affirmed his keenness to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt. He praised the strong relations that bind the two countries thanks to the patronage and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

The Speaker of the Shura Council was speaking during his meeting in Cairo today with the President of the Egyptian Senate, Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razzaq. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the fourth conference of the Arab Parliament and heads of Arab councils and parliaments.

The Speaker of the Shura Council stressed the strong and deep-rooted relations between the two countries, which are based on common visions and goals to enhance regional security and stability and accelerate growth and development.

For his part, Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razzaq expressed his pride and appreciation for the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries and the increasing cooperation in various fields. He also praised the bilateral parliamentary cooperation to promote growth and prosperity in the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying the Speaker of the Shura Council, consisting of Chairperson of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, Member of the Arab Parliament Dalal Jassim Al-Zayed, Member of the Arab Parliament Abdul Rahman Muhammad Jamsheer and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt.
