Manama, May 6 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh affirmed that the Bahraini press uses digital means and modern methods in carrying out its media and enlightening role, praising the press’s keenness to highlight these features. He pointed out that since the launch of His Majesty’s reform project, the Bahraini press has flourished and its role in consolidating democratic principles and the principles of freedom of opinion and expression established by the National Action Charter and the constitution has increased.
He stressed that the Bahraini press is a key partner in achieving the government’s plans and programmes, praising the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to enhance the pivotal role of the press in the Kingdom. Being a pillar of the democratic process.
And in a statement on the occasion of Bahrain Press Day, which falls on May 7 each year, Al-Saleh extended his congratulations to all journalists in the Kingdom, praising their dedication and commitment to the ethics of the profession of journalism.
The Shura Chairman indicated that the continuous press renaissance in the Kingdom and the openness to modern digital media reflect the determination to consolidate the position of the press and its role in consolidating national unity and highlighting the values of tolerance, pluralism and coexistence adopted by Bahrainis. the society.
