Manama, August 11 (BNA) His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed that investing in youth is a necessity to achieve the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations, which are: In line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa drew attention to His Majesty the King’s great interest in the youth as a fundamental pillar of the nation, noting that these directives were supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came in a statement issued on the occasion of the International Youth Day, which is being held this year under the slogan (solidarity between generations).
His Highness said that empowering Bahraini youth by developing their creative skills enhances their capabilities to help achieve sustainable development goals, and there is no better investment than investing in youth development, which is the approach that Bahrain adopts through its steps towards youth empowerment and giving. They have a high priority moving forward.
Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad stressed that the Kingdom based its youth policy on believing in their abilities to build the future by giving them confidence in their abilities.
