Manama, Mar. 3 (BNA): Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, congratulated the head of the Moroccan Council of Advisors, Inaam Mayara, on the occasion of her unanimous election as the new president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean. The period 2023-2024.
Mayara, who succeeds Pedro Roque (Portugal), was elected on the sidelines of the 17th plenary session of the Council of Authenticity and Modernity hosted by the Moroccan Parliament on Wednesday and Thursday.
Al-Saleh praised Mayara’s outstanding leadership and diplomatic experience, which qualifies her to lead the largest regional parliamentary organization.
The Speaker of the Shura Council praised the distinguished global position enjoyed by the brotherly Morocco, citing its contributions to maintaining global peace and security.
He wished Inaam Mayara all success in achieving the goals of the Parliamentary Assembly, and the continued progress and prosperity of Morocco under his leadership.
