Shaw felt result like Liverpool demolition was coming for Man Utd

London, October 25 (BNA) Luke Shaw said that a result such as Manchester United’s humiliation at the hands of rivals Liverpool came as the left-back reflected on an unacceptable performance by him and the team.

Under fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer described Sunday’s 5-0 home defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s side as “the darkest day” in his three years in the dugout, admitting they had hit “rock bottom”.

Liverpool’s biggest-ever win at Old Trafford has compounded their recent poor performance and will test United’s hierarchical support for a man who awarded them a new three-year contract in pre-season.

Solskjaer’s side put up a frightening display against Liverpool as Shaw – who was impressive last season and for England at Euro 2020 – raised his hands.

United travel to Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday, with the Champions League trip to Atalanta and the return of Old Trafford against neighbors Manchester City quickly afterwards.
