We are looking for an enthusiastic client and category advocate within Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, strong attention to detail, ability to effectively prioritize and multitask, and a proven track record of driving category growth.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail, a high level of flexibility and commitment, and the ability to recruit and develop a high-performance team.

Scope includes:
• Manage the full range of category and vendor portfolio,
• Building and sustaining strategic relationships with major manufacturers and suppliers,
• Improving the overall Amazon customer experience,
• To help shape the evolution of how customers shop online for these categories.

Main Job Responsibilities
• Dive into the input and understand the ultimate impact of changes in pricing, selection and fitness for multiple subcategories.
• Retail P&L owns multiple sub-categories. Develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvement.
• Create a strategic and priority marketing plan for suppliers that increases profit margin and customer experience.
• Audit all elements of the business with multiple subcategories (eg inputs, outputs, site experience, team performance), perform deep analysis on problems to understand root causes, make decisions based on data identify areas needing vendor attention and direct the team to address issues; Serves as an escalation point, helping the team and supplier(s) resolve disputes.
• Expand the selection of existing vendors and secure a new selection for multiple subcategories.
• Leads strategic negotiations to achieve growth in the top and bottom categories.
• Creates opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand building for multiple sub-categories.
• Influence strategic or complex vendors to prioritize customer experience by reducing costs, optimizing the supply chain, reducing defects, and driving efficiencies.
• Check metrics regularly. Evaluates products and services to continually improve the quality of customer experience across multiple subcategories.
• Compilation and escalation of industry trends. Develops and prioritizes business plan to ensure optimum customer experience.
• Develops long-term strategies and significantly influences plans across categories.
• Identifying and prioritizing business opportunities, identifying risks and making recommendations for follow-up. Integrates into long-term strategies for multiple subcategories.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to develop and propose an annual plan for multiple subcategories.
• Owns press releases, narratives, and other internal communications for multiple subcategories Identifies scalable changes to the category that automates the product lifecycle.
• Identifies business or process requirements, leads prioritization, and manages implementation across multiple teams/categories.

Basic qualifications
• Bachelor degree. +10 years of relevant retail/operations/consulting experience with a proven track record of negotiating and delivering results.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including technical, engineering, marketing, design and merchandising teams
• A strong leader with the ability to successfully work (and influence) with all levels across the organization.
• A range of accomplished skills from high-level strategic thinking to creative and articulated team leadership
• An analytical approach to problem solving and a proven track record of leadership results through continuous improvement
• Experience indirectly leading operational teams and projects
• Extreme attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

qualifications preferred
• The ability to think and respond quickly with high energy
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, merchandising, inventory management and product development.
• Advanced experience with Excel, or other analytical/business intelligence tools.
• Highly polished communication skills – speaking, writing, presentation and negotiation.
• Ability to work simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic approaches.
• Prepare to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
• Experience a new country launch. Work in a startup or early stage environment where you will define best practices for your job.
