Faithful + Gould is looking for a Senior Manager – Smart Cities to be based in AlUla, Saudi Arabia
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Lead the delivery of digital transformation and smart city projects across the region. Develop analysis, operate and engage customer and stakeholder teams, and deliver high quality business products.
Provide technical support and expertise in designing and preparing specific procedures and overall urban development/future city operations
Deliver innovative approaches to future city business by developing smart city master plans and operations, based on global trends but taking into account local contexts, demands and opportunities from place sourcing;
Defining traditional urban infrastructure assets (both physical and social) and enhancing this with future technology urban infrastructure asset elements including datasets, networks, connected devices, and sensors for future smart services and applications;
Work alongside our Land Use, Built Environment and Urban Design teams to define a range of smart city solutions with potential to improve quality of life and address dimensions such as the smart economy, smart environment, Net Zero Agenda, smart living, smart mobility, smart people and smart governance.
Establish relationships with client staff at appropriate levels to cultivate and manage business development opportunities and to be able to develop the appropriate business case and next steps for project realization.
Skills and Experience Required:
Experienced in all phases of digital transformation and smart city project over 10 years
Qualification from a recognized international university
Familiar with master planning and urban design processes
Experience in developing digital strategies and implementing digital transformation in large organizations
Proven ability to work in a customer facing/consulting environment
Experience leading projects through all phases of the life cycle
Strong appreciation of the “smart city landscape” in the Middle East and have networks within the supply chain/vendor environment
Strong analytical, creativity and communication skills to encourage clients to implement their digital roadmap.
