Job purpose:
The Business Development function is responsible for bringing the best partner restaurants in Qatar to Deliveroo.
As a BDM Principal, you will be responsible for registering and helping to set up the best restaurants and chains in town along with leading your team towards success across all objectives. You will be joining one of the world’s fastest growing startups, surrounded by a first-class team of up-and-comers who are passionate about delivering great service and contributing to the exciting journey of Deliveroo.
Main responsibilities:
• Own and implement quarterly sales initiatives across Qatar to drive market growth.
• Manage resources and prioritize workload within the department to ensure achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Monitoring team performance in order to define or modify goals, measure success against them, and raise standards within the team.
• Train and support team members through periodic 1:1 and semi-annual reviews to identify and address development needs and develop development plans that will build a high-quality team.
• Motivating the team to maintain high morale and low turnover.
• Scoping the different city areas to determine the best brands and chains most suitable for the delivery model. Initiate communication through referral, email, call or login and engage in discussions to engage them on Deliveroo.
• Place proposals that fit restaurants’ needs while keeping Deliveroo’s profitability ahead.
• Ensure a smooth and complete integration process when bringing a partner on board, from the registration stage to the operational launch.
• Collect the local market intel and report to the Country Manager
requirements:
• BA/BA in Business or related field preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of sales and negotiation along with team management experience preferably within a high growth company
• Proven negotiation skills
• A self-starter is able to lead yourself to your goals every month
• A great communicator with a ‘get it done’ mentality, well organized and efficient
• Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
