SEA President receives UNDP Resident Representative

Manama, September 29 (BNA) The President of the Sustainable Energy Authority, Dr. Abdul-Hussein bin Ali Mirza, received the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program Stefano Pettinato.

The meeting reviewed the Commission’s projects and the role of the United Nations Development Program in its achievements.

Dr. Mirza praised Pettinato’s efforts as a resident representative and his keenness to support the Kingdom’s efforts in the transition to sustainable energy.

He stressed the importance of continued cooperation to achieve common goals in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The representative praised the role of SEA in enabling the Kingdom to achieve energy sustainability locally and the international sustainable development goal related to ensuring universal access to modern, reliable and sustainable energy services at an affordable cost by 2030.
