SEA President receives Turkish ambassador

Manama, November 10 (BNA) The President of the Sustainable Energy Authority, Dr. Abdul-Hussein bin Ali Mirza, received the Turkish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Asin Çakl.

Dr. Mirza praised the historical relations between the two countries, which were always reflected through cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The head of the Atomic Energy Authority briefed the ambassador on the national plans for renewable energy and energy efficiency, and the most prominent current and future projects in the field of sustainable energy.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s goals to reach carbon neutrality by 2060, and the opportunities these goals offer to enhance cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency between Bahrain and neighboring countries.

They discussed Turkey’s achievements in the field of renewable energy, reviewing the strengthening of cooperation, exchanging experiences, and investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects by Turkish companies to contribute to sustainable energy projects in the Kingdom.

The ambassador expressed her admiration for the Kingdom’s progress in developing the sustainable energy sector, and stressed Turkey’s readiness to enhance cooperation in this field.
