SCH President: Oncology and Palliative Care Conference a boost to medical sector

Manama, November 6 (BNA) The First Conference on Oncology and Palliative Care, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is of paramount importance at the regional level, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Saud Khalifa affirmed. He stressed the importance of the event in enriching the medical sector, which is witnessing a steady growth thanks to the patronage and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health made these statements while attending the first Bahrain Conference on Oncology and Palliative Care, which was organized by Governmental Hospitals and Education Plus on November 5-6, in the presence of the CEO of Governmental Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed. Ansari and senior officials. The conference was also attended by participants from Bahrain and abroad.

Lieutenant-General Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in his speech before the conference, stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pioneering steps in promoting the advancement of the medical sector, which earned it an advanced position, especially in the field of oncology, palliative care and the distinguished treatment it provides to citizens and residents. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari described the conference as a major milestone in confirming Bahrain’s ability to host major international medical events. He pointed out the many goals to be achieved for the benefit of the medical sector in light of the large participation of experts and lecturers. He stressed that government hospitals will continue their efforts to develop the medical sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and provide the best services to citizens and residents. He wished the conference participants every success in achieving the desired goals, stressing their distinguished role in developing the medical sector.
