Gabriel’s goal keeps Arsenal top with 1-0 win at Chelsea

London, November 6 (BNA): Gabriel’s second-half goal was enough to keep Arsenal at the top of the Premier League after their 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday underlined Arsenal’s credentials.

The Brazilian central defender was on hand to lead Bukayo Saka’s corner kick in the 63rd minute at Stamford Bridge after a largely dominating performance by the visitors against Toothless Chelsea, according to the Associated Press.

The victory raises Arsenal to the top of the standings, two points ahead of Manchester City, who took the lead last night, with a last-gasp victory over Fulham on Saturday.

It also sends a stronger message to City that Arsenal are likely to be the main contender for the title this season after adding this result to previous victories against Liverpool and Tottenham.

But for Chelsea, it was a disappointing performance that will add to the pressure on coach Graham Potter, especially after the 4-1 loss to his former club Brighton last week.
