Saudia-owned aircraft comes under fire at Khartoum International Airport

Jeddah, April 15 (BNA): Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudi Arabia) said that one of its Airbus planes came under fire at Khartoum International Airport before its scheduled departure to Riyadh today, Saturday.

“The Airbus A330, Flight SV458, came under fire at Khartoum International Airport prior to take-off to Riyadh at 7:30 UTC this morning,” the company said in a statement.

The company also said in a statement that it had suspended all its flights to and from Sudan until further notice.

The statement stated that the Emergency Coordination Center in Saudi Arabia is working with members of the flight crew, ground staff and the Saudi Embassy in Sudan to obtain more information about the accident.
