Manama, Nov 1 (BUS): A few days away from facing Briton Dynamo Sam ‘Future’, pivotal lightweight Patterson against promotional newcomer and hometown favorite Kamil Magomedov at the Brave CF 55 in Rostov-on-Don, Russia in November. 6.
Although Patterson is a BRAVE CF cage veteran, he has yet to encounter someone close to Magomedov’s caliber so far in his young career as the Russian has had 14 fights under his belt and won 11 of them by submission.
Magomedov is a major threat on the ground, which could put a fierce striker like Patterson in a tight spot over the course of three rounds.
However, the Englishman has the impulse to give his Russian opponent a rude wake-up call when the fight hits the carpet.
Patterson stated, “I have a jiu-jitsu game, and I have a wrestling game. I haven’t shown it yet because everyone wants to punch with me.”
Given Patterson’s impressive 7-1-1 record, it somehow backs up his claim that “Future” scored three wins by succumbing. The last time an enemy used a cage was when Irish Cian “The Warrior” Cowley was forced to wave a white flag in the third round with a bare rear choke.
On the final stage of his world-famous Team Crossface training camp in Watford, England, Patterson is hoping his revamped skill set will lead to victory on November 6.
“I got to another level,” he said. “In every fight, I make improvements and go to a whole other level again.”
