The Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing revenue and ensuring that customer expectations and production targets are exceeded.

Responsibilities:

Exceeds personal, monthly, quarterly, annual sales targets, through account development and maintenance, regular sales calls, entertainment trips and sales/trade fairs.
Supporting the goals, objectives and philosophies of The Fairmont and Fairmont Riyadh Hotels and Resorts.
Develop lead sources through prospecting, ordering, referrals, trace files and cold calls.
– Conducts site inspections with potential and existing clients.
Develops and implements new sales strategies, tactics and action plans for the account base.
Coordinate and financially manage sales journeys, including reports or activities related to the selected market.
Maintain active membership in industry-related organizations and associations relevant to the specific market.
Assist other sales and catering managers and refer potential clients to group, catering and other business sources for hotels through active solicitation of the accounts base
Attending sales meetings, office events and hotel sponsored functions.
Prepares and attends daily sales meetings, weekly sales, marketing meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
Responsible for submitting the weekly sales report to the Sales Manager.
– Maintain and update current account information in Opera and hard files.
Participate in industry functions and/or trade fairs, FAM visits and industry events.
Supporting and implementing the company’s sales and marketing standards for Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
Assist in any other duties as requested by supervisors and management.

qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience in sales of 5 star hotels. Additional experience in the hospitality industry is an asset.
Good understanding of the luxury market
Possess or achieve affiliation with a leading industry association within three years of being hired/assuming the position
The candidate must have a valid driving license for the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council
Ability to travel on a regular basis and work flexible hours and days.
Knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
