Manama, December 4 (BNA) A Russian parliamentary delegation headed by the President of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Valentina Matvienko arrived today on an official three-day visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received the delegation at Bahrain International Airport, in the presence of the First and Second Deputy Speaker and Secretary-General.
During the visit, the Russian delegation will discuss ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation and get an idea of Bahrain’s development steps in light of the reform and democratization process led by His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa.
The two sides will hold a formal talks session on Sunday. A memorandum of understanding will also be signed aimed at strengthening parliamentary cooperation.
The Russian parliamentary delegation will hold meetings with state officials and visit antiquities, development projects and monuments.
