Moscow, Dec. 17 (BNA): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov congratulated Bahrain on its national holidays, commemorating the founding of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim state in 1783 by Ahmed Al-Fateh, and the anniversary of his rule. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ascended the throne.
Minister Lavrov also praised the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the advanced position enjoyed by the Kingdom.
The minister was speaking during his meeting here with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Russia, Abdulrahman Al-Saati, as part of his annual meeting with heads of diplomatic missions.
He praised the advanced level of Bahraini-Russian relations in all fields, expressing his hope that they will be further consolidated for the higher interest of the two friendly peoples.
The ambassador conveyed the greetings of Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani to his Russian counterpart, as well as his thanks to the Russian government for decorating the streets and bridges of Moscow with the colors of the Bahraini flag, on the occasion of the Kingdom’s flag. national holidays.
