Moscow, April 13 (BNA): The Russian Federation welcomed the resumption of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar.
The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed, in a statement, that the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries “will contribute to improving the situation in the Gulf region, creating an atmosphere of trust and cooperation, as well as mutual benefits.”
Moscow welcomes the resumption of relations between Bahrain and Qatar. “We are convinced that this will contribute to the overall improvement of the situation in the Gulf region, and the creation of an atmosphere of trust and mutually beneficial cooperation there,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in its statement.
The Russian Foreign Ministry issued the statement following the two countries’ decision to resume diplomatic relations during the second meeting of the Bahraini-Qatari follow-up committee, which was held at the headquarters of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh.
