What will you do:

Be well versed with the Opera system and be fully acquainted with all aspects of the reservation systems.
– Determine guest reservation needs by asking open-ended questions to obtain all necessary information
– Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (eg, opening hours, room availability, restricted dates, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events).
Record advance deposits and keep accurate records of deposits.
Process room listings and group blocks, indicate special requests and billing procedures, learn about rate changes and group inquiries.
– Keeping correspondence and making reservations, and ensuring that all files are up-to-date and organized.
– Knowledge of the front desk, sales and accounts departments and how they are related to the reservations department.
Be aware of inventory management and constantly check the types of rooms available throughout the day
– To understand departmental goals and expectations for average rate and occupancy
– Accommodating and documenting special requests in an accurate and efficient manner.
Determine the most appropriate room type to meet the guests’ requirements and increase the room price.
Use selling techniques when helping guests make reservations, including allocating calls, getting a guest’s complete needs, suggesting alternate dates or directing guests to sister accommodations on days when supplies run out.
Explain warranty and cancellation policies to callers, assign confirmation/cancellation numbers, and communicate this information clearly to callers, giving them the option to email and/or fax these numbers.
Follow up on “selling” methods and sales strategies in order to maximize property returns.
– Identify repeat guests using appropriate codes.
Familiarity with the operational procedures of all equipment in the kitchen and operating them in the correct manner to ensure maximum efficiency and personal safety.
Participate in periodic meetings and briefings as scheduled.
Understand and abide by all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention systems.
Participate in any scheduled training and development programs that improve personal or managerial standards.
Report duty on time by wearing the correct uniform and name crest.
Maintaining a high level of personal appearance and hygiene.

Your experience and skills include:

– Have at least one (1) year experience as a reservation agent in the same field.
Have thorough knowledge of using Opera software.
Has the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Has the ability to communicate effectively with the team and present it consistently.
Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
