Representatives Council’s Reply to Royal Speech Committee holds second meeting

Manama, Jan. 2 (BNA): The Committee for Responding to the Royal Speech in the House of Representatives held its second meeting today, chaired by Representative Lulwa Ali Al-Rumaihi.

The committee emphasized that the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during the opening of the first session of the sixth legislative term is a roadmap to build on previous achievements and consolidate the democratic approach led by the comprehensive development process of His Majesty the King.

Al-Rumaihi revealed that the committee discussed its work methodology, work plan, work mechanism, and the legal rules regulating its work.

She added that the committee reviewed an analytical note that included the royal speech, and one of the most prominent topics was the royal speech, including the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities in reaching the best solutions, improving the standard of living of citizens, and paying attention to women’s issues.
