Purchase – Store Keeper (Qatar World Sporting Event 2022 – Accommodation Services)

Store Keeper (fixed term contract until January 2023)

What will you do:

Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing and accounting for assets and supplies. Assist the Purchasing Manager in controlling all store items and maintaining the inventory management system.

To be fully aware of all spare parts requirements and specifications for all equipment installed in the hotel.
Classify all areas of the store under his control to ensure that spare parts are easily identified and available when needed.
– Monitoring the issuance of warehouse items to prevent waste.
Ensure that any goods delivered comply with requirements and specifications.
– Keeping daily records for accounting purposes.
– Preparing purchase orders and following them up with the department for immediate delivery.
Ensure that work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
– Ensure the cleanliness of appearance and uniform, especially when working in the guest areas.
Monitor and practice safe work methods.
-Performs related duties and special projects as and when requested by his/her supervisor.
Maintains complete flexibility in his behavior towards work.
Work to the highest standards of his/her profession and in compliance with all local codes of practice.
– Examine the supplier’s delivery of materials and supplies to ensure that they comply with the specifications of quantity and quality.
– Storing and arranging stocks for easy issuance and keeping stores clean and organized.
Issuing materials and supplies for all approved purchase orders.
Keep records of incoming or outgoing materials.
– Initiates purchase requisitions for materials and supplies, assists the Procurement Department.
Complete and sign the issuance papers
Conduct monthly inventory of materials and supplies by comparing stock card balances with actual counting and/or in agreed time frame(s).
Perform duties common to all employees of rank, life, non-supervisors and such other duties as may be assigned.
Maintain spare parts brochures, catalogs and supplier list.
– Bring ideas and solutions to the process
Flexibility, this is a project that is different from the usual hotel operation, so flexibility and adaptability are needed
– Perform any additional duties assigned by the Department Manager.

Your experience and skills include:

Ability to develop and build relationships and utilize skills appropriately
– Ability to process information and goods through a computer system
Ability to maintain a fair and consistent set of standards as they apply to the workforce
Ability to set priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and understandable manner, and listen attentively to other colleagues
Ability to work a full time schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
– Ability to handle several million inventory.
– Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-up skills
Physical ability to move and manipulate boxes of stock materials and fixtures throughout the store, entailing lifting, and performing all functions as described above.
