Public Security Chief: Promoting historical fraternal ties between GCC countries is top priority

Riyadh, September 20 (BNA) Chief of Public Security Lieutenant-General Tariq Al-Hassan headed the delegation of the Ministry of Interior in the meeting of the directors general of Gulf Security in Riyadh.

In his speech, His Highness the Amir expressed his best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Saudi people on the Kingdom’s National Day. He pointed out that today is an opportunity to appreciate the pioneering achievements of Saudi Arabia and its role in enhancing regional security and supporting Arab and Islamic causes.

His Highness conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Excellency the Minister of Interior Staff Lt. Gen. Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and his wishes for more successful security cooperation and coordination. He stressed the importance of the Gulf and brotherly relations as a top priority for the Kingdom in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince. Prime Minister.

He said that the constantly changing security challenges in the Gulf region require the continuation of a common approach to protecting security and public safety through preparedness and unifying concepts in the face of risks. He stressed the importance of joint exercises to enhance Gulf security expertise and operations. He emphasized the exchange of successful strategic experiences, proactive plans, scenarios and information to enhance Gulf security operations.

The meeting reviewed various topics, including security awareness programs and the exchange of experiences in the field of combating organized crime, cybercrime and fraud.
