Public Security Chief chairs RAP Scientific Council meeting

Manama, Mar. 23 (BNA): Chief of Public Security Lieutenant General Tariq Al-Hassan presided over the 63rd meeting of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police.


The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief of Public Security Major General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Commander of Public Security Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Hassan and members of the Council.


The Chief of Public Security expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, for his continuous support to the Council and his wise guidance to develop scientific and training programs to face security changes and challenges.


He highly appreciated the council’s dedication to implementing the directives of the Minister of Interior by enhancing the quality of education and training in academic programs to achieve excellence and the tasks of RAP.


The council started its meeting by reviewing the topics on the agenda, including strengthening cooperation with various training centers.


The meeting also discussed the new academic programs of the Officers Training College for the next academic year and the results of the master’s students.


The President directed that a recommendation be referred to the RAP Board of Trustees for approval of academic qualifications and degrees. He also reviewed the proposal submitted for a bachelor’s program in police sciences for specialized officers, in preparation for its approval next year.


He stressed the importance of developing all educational and training programs for the resettlement plan to achieve its mission to the fullest.

Al-Hassan thanked the members of the council and the administrative and training staff of the academy, wishing everyone success.
