WSP is looking for a Public Domain/Landscape Professional to join our ongoing business? project in Jeddah.
A normal week includes:
* Input into client design briefs as required from a public domain perspective.
* Participate in the pre-qualification process and provide an assessment of the consultant’s capabilities.
* Create and advise on bidders lists for master plans and full service projects.
* Input into the master plan or project brief and RFP scope sections for external consultants.
* Provide bid evaluations of technical aspects of bidding from external consultants.
* Develop project implementation plans (PIPs) and project implementation plans (PEP’s) for landscape and public domain aspects.
* Update weekly and monthly tracking sheets and action lists for WSP, as directed by the WSP Project Controls team.
* Oversee all design activities of landscape design efforts for open spaces including natural and built environments and manage the various stages of the design process.
* Manage all landscape design consultants on a daily basis to ensure all drawing submissions are in line with WSP and client requirements.
* Monitor drawing reviews and follow up with project teams to monitor that implementation efforts are in line with approved drawings.
* Manage the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Transfer Master Plan (TMP or TIS) of the proposed master plan or project, and work to ensure regulatory requirements are met. (Note: Obtaining permits is the responsibility of the consultant or contractor based on the relevant scope of service).
* Ensures ongoing design liaison and oversight with senior design managers for master plans and the general area, supporting the Design Director and Project Manager as required for overall program delivery.
* Manage urban and landscape design consultant contracts in relation to contract implementation, measurement of work done for payments against program and change orders etc.
* Ensure that valuable engineering ideas are identified to reduce costs/time and recommendations are made. Management and approval of all proposed VE options.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* 20 years of experience in landscape and public projects, preferably in Saudi Arabia itself or the GCC region.
* Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
* Member of a relevant professional body.
* Excellent leadership skills and ability to delegate and coordinate responsibilities.
* Strong conflict resolution/management skills.
* Strong team player with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and make timely decisions.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
