Public Prosecution takes part virtual workshop on fund restitution

Manama, March 3 (BNA) Today, during a remote workshop, the legal mechanisms for recovering the proceeds of crime smuggled abroad were highlighted.

The Public Prosecution Office participated in the virtual event, at the invitation of the Egyptian Public Prosecution, as part of the efforts to intensify efforts among the prosecution services in the member states of the Arab Parliament (AP).

The Public Prosecution’s keenness to participate in international and regional efforts to combat transnational crime, and to support the active role of law enforcement agencies in combating these crimes.

Attorney at the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Prosecution Ahmed Abdullah Ramadan sheds light on the legal compensation practices in Bahrain.

He stressed the role of the Public Prosecution Office in recovering funds from abroad and responding to claims of recovery from different countries, in accordance with international best practices.
