SNC-Lavalin Faithful + Gould is looking for a Project Manager in Qatar with a PMC background.

Job purpose:
– Develop, implement and manage project and delivery plan to ensure project is completed in accordance with time, cost and quality targets.
– Site coordination to ensure the smooth running of all packages
– Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety requirements
Lead the construction of the project throughout the duration of the project.

Key Result Areas:

Plan, monitor and manage project implementation to ensure a high quality project is delivered to the client on time – on budget -:
Coordinate closely with the client to develop the project implementation strategy and KPIs to monitor its implementation.
– Coordinate with the project manager to finalize project budgets, plans and schedules for delivery.
Coordinate with different project team managers to finalize project quality, cost and time targets.
Support the project manager in the feasibility studies and risk register for the project.
Lead the participation and management of consultants and contractors.
– Perform routine project site inspections.
Hold regular project meetings with internal and external teams (consultants, contractors, etc.) to track project and review progress.
Closely monitor project metrics and follow up with relevant parties for corrective and preventive actions and fix defects.
Support the project manager in managing the client relationship for the project through periodic update and feedback meetings.
Finalize and manage changes to scope, schedule, quality and budget with client when necessary.
– Ensure that the change control system is implemented.
Accelerate project operations through direct interaction with the concerned individuals and organizations.
Ensure appropriate use and application of the Project Management System (PMS) in relation to work-related data entry and analysis for daily performance to facilitate seamless communication of all relevant information (technical/non-technical) across the organization on a time-based basis to maximize effectiveness.
Monitor the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are accurately commissioned to deliver global quality standards.

Ensure time, quality and cost objectives are met on the project:
Ensure timely preparation of various on-site progress reports.
– Reporting to management and clients as required.
Monitor and report on scope, quality, cost and time to ensure that the project is on track.
Coordinate meetings with the project team to plan corrective, preventive and defect repair actions as required.
Interaction between client and consultants (and contractors) to monitor work completion, payment issues, etc.
Document control for claims management.

Lead and manage internal and external relationships to achieve project objectives effectively and efficiently:
Provides updates to the client on all aspects of project progress.
Technical and contractual project management.
Be aware of the terms of the contract between the client and other parties and oversee compliance with the terms and requirements of these contracts.
– Review contract correspondence with client, consultants, contractors, authorities, etc. and prepare response when required
Reviewing all bid documents and invoices for consultants.
– Coordination to prevent claims and provide a review of differences claims from a technical and contracting perspective.

Provide leadership, ongoing direction, support and motivate project teams:
Drive goal setting and performance evaluations for all project reports.
Communicate information, policies, and decisions to the project team in a timely manner.
Ensure effective implementation of all applicable organizational policies and procedures in the department.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees working as part of the project team.

Create industry networks and performance measurement opportunities:
Establish and develop professional relationships with industry peers.
Stay up-to-date with global best practices in project management and program management.
