Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): Minister of Health, Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, received today the CEO and Medical Director of the American Mission Hospital in Bahrain, Dr. George Sherian, and reviewed with him the latest developments. Developments of the “King Hamad Hospital – American Mission” project in A’ali.
The Minister expressed her appreciation for the noble efforts made by the American Mission Hospital throughout its historical path in serving the Bahraini community and providing medical and treatment services to its members.
She noted the importance of partnership between the public and private sectors in promoting national development paths, especially in the health sector, noting that the private sector has an increasing role in strengthening the health system in the Kingdom by enhancing its progress and the efficiency of its work. As well as in supporting government efforts to develop medical tourism.
The Minister of Health was briefed on the stages of building the new hospital project, which is scheduled to open in January 2023, including its departments, facilities, and the medical and treatment services that it will provide, praising this pioneering medical project, which will include several departments. Medical specialties, and constitute a qualitative addition to the health sector in the Kingdom.
She highly praised the main role played by the American Mission Hospital in Bahrain, and her keenness to provide advanced health care and to equip the new hospital with advanced medical equipment and devices, wishing her workers all success in achieving the health goals for which the hospital was established.
Dr. George Sherian expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the directives of His Majesty the King to improve the level of medical and treatment services in various hospitals in Bahrain.
He also praised the government’s interest, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in supporting and ensuring the success of health sector programs and projects, noting that the priority of the American Mission Hospital is to develop health care through the use of the best. Doctors and Technology, as part of its quest to be a major healthcare center in the Kingdom by cooperating with the world’s leading healthcare systems.
