Our client was established by the Saudi government to bring all societies together and develop all sectors and fields with innovative solutions. The organization generates more than $24 million in sales and has more than 850 companies and 700 employees.
They are currently looking for a Preventive Maintenance Agent to be based in Saudi Arabia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Use oral, written and electronic methods of communication in English for technical and other information.
• Report on schedule progress, safety, and quality control and collaboratively approve relevant design modifications.
• Ensure that all port equipment is fully compliant with all applicable codes/standards in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or international codes and standards. Make recommendations in the event of non-compliance.
• Monitor and influence for safe systems work for contractors and employees.
• Provide detailed maintenance schedules and plans for all port and plant equipment with inputs to build the asset management system with the aim of promoting maintenance focused on reliability, predictive maintenance, optimum maintenance operations and safe operating procedures.
• Provide support or contribute to engineering work as directed and specified to ensure projects are completed within relevant time ranges involving all appropriate departments and within budgeted cost limits. To include inputs for preparation of specifications, quality control and commissioning.
• Raise awareness of current safety regulations related to machine safety and implement and demonstrate equipment compliance under the responsibility of the Engineering Department.
• Identify specific areas of improvement to increase equipment production through increased reliability.
• Work closely with other departments to bring your engineering expertise to work as assigned by the Technical Asset Management.
• Provide input into the planned downtime of equipment for reliability-focused improvement work.
• Communicate closely with operational planning goals for effective use of equipment while fully optimizing preventive maintenance schedules.
• Guidance and on-the-job training for internal engineering staff and contractors.
• Overseeing business to achieve objectives and setting priorities to meet dynamic business needs.
• Responsible for the standards and safety of all equipment and engineering systems on port equipment.
• Conduct tool box and safety awareness meetings with staff when required.

Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ engineering experience in exposure to Bulk Handling Equipment and General Containers.
• Experience with EAMS application such as Maximo, Mex and SAP. INFOR in the context of port maintenance.
• IOSH . qualification preferred
• Expertise in reliability-focused maintenance of cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, inland tractors, port mobile cranes, ship-to-shore cranes, automated stacker cranes and rubber tire gantry cranes.
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills and the ability to influence people.
• Fully conversant with current methods
• Humble and willing to be open to learning and work with others in developing a new way of working.
• Self-initiated and the ability to work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in implementing strategic initiatives.
• Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• High motivation to succeed and break barriers.
