President Maldives visits Economic Development Board

Manama, October 6 (BNA) The President of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Salih visited today the headquarters of the Economic Council in the Gulf of Bahrain.

President Soled and his accompanying delegation were received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and a number of ministers and officials.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the pivotal role of the Economic Development Board in supporting the national economy and advancing the wheel of growth under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Minister.

He emphasized the implementation of the Economic Development Board and the initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the performance of the national economy towards achieving Bahrain Vision 2030 with its main pillars: sustainability, competitiveness and justice.

Ali Al-Mudai’, Chief Business Development Officer at the Economic Development Board, gave a presentation, in which he highlighted Bahrain’s competitiveness, simplified legislation, and the EDB’s pivotal role in attracting investments in vital sectors to create job opportunities in the local market.

He highlighted investment opportunities in Bahrain, and outlined a massive economic recovery strategy that includes investment opportunities and development projects worth more than $30 billion.
