New York, September 23 (BNA) The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met the Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East and Asia and the Pacific in the two departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Political Affairs, Peacebuilding and Peace Operations at the United Nations Khaled Al-Khiari on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation and partnership with the United Nations in consolidating security, stability and peace in the Middle East and the world.
The Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations praised the diplomatic approach of the Kingdom of Bahrain in laying the foundations for peace, tolerance and coexistence among nations and peoples, and its cooperation in combating extremism and terrorism, in support of the sustainable development goals.
