We are looking for a well-organised, self-employed writer with great attention to detail to join our team as a new Planning Engineer. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting work schedules and budgets, delegating tasks, analyzing project specifications and finding cost-effective ways to address them, liaising with contractors and suppliers, managing resources, and communicating with other surveyors, managers, and engineers. You must be able to analyze data, write reports, and deliver presentations to various stakeholders.
To be successful as a planning engineer, you must demonstrate a good knowledge of the relevant engineering discipline and be able to anticipate problems. Excellent planning engineers must pay great attention to detail and be able to handle stress well.
Understand project specifications and develop timelines and budgets that meet them.
Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices.
Monitor current operations, analyze employee performance and address deficiencies accordingly.
Monitor and track project progress and write reports.
Attend and schedule meetings as needed.
Delegating tasks and ensuring workers receive feedback.
Understand and meet all contract requirements.
Communicate with managers, supervisors and the rest of the team.
Analyze technical drawings and provide material and cost estimates.
Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budgets.
Good experience in project planning and implementation. For example: painting, sandblasting, scaffolding, maintenance work, pipeline construction activities, boiler insulation works
Required Candidate Profile
Degree in engineering or similar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Planning and project management skills.
Strong multitasking capabilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong analytical, critical and logical thinking skills.
Sound understanding of safety protocols.
Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines.
