Manama, November 2 (BNA) The first edition of the Bahrain Oncology and Palliative Care Conference will open on Saturday (November 5). The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, stressed the importance of the two-day event in highlighting Bahrain’s steps in providing medical care to patients.
He affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to implement the recommendations of the Gulf Plan for Cancer Control 2016-2025, praising the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the health sector, following the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister
He said that the conference comes based on the recommendations of the Gulf Plan for Cancer Control 2016-2025 developed by the World Health Organization and the International Agency for Research on Cancer, pointing to the progress made by Bahrain in providing the necessary medical care to patients.
