Omani parliamentary delegation wraps up visit to Bahrain

Manama, June 2 (BNA) The Omani parliamentary delegation headed by the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al-Maawali, today concluded its official visit to the Kingdom at the invitation of the Speaker of Parliament. Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal.


Parliament Speaker Fawzia Zainal was at the forefront of those who invited members of the Omani delegation at Bahrain International Airport.

During the visit, the delegation held official meetings with representatives of the legislative authority in the Kingdom. The discussions focused on ways to strengthen the Bahraini-Omani brotherly relations in all fields, enhance cooperation between the legislative authorities in the two countries, support parliamentary diplomacy, and unify and coordinate positions in regional and international forums.

During their official meeting, the Bahraini and Omani sides praised the progress the two countries are witnessing in all sectors thanks to the support of their leadership.

They also expressed their keenness to enhance cooperation between them in a way that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and reflects the common destiny that binds them.

They also stressed the importance of exchanging visits between officials in the two countries in opening new horizons of constructive and fruitful cooperation that would benefit the two brotherly peoples, stressing the need to enhance joint parliamentary cooperation by taking advantage of parliamentary diplomacy to enhance rapprochement. between the two countries and promote the development process.

During the meetings, ways of enhancing bilateral relations in all fields, and the role of laws and legislations in promoting economic cooperation and increasing joint investments, were also reviewed.

They also discussed the role of the House of Representatives in Bahrain and the Shura Council in Oman in encouraging and stimulating cooperation in new areas in line with the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040.
