Manama, September 30 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal bin Nasser Al Maawali, received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi. .
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Shura Council praised the level of coordination with the Bahraini National Assembly, and welcomed cooperation and moving forward towards developing joint relations in all legislative and parliamentary fields, stressing the Sultanate’s aspiration to enhance this cooperation and activate aspects of exchange. Ambassador Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi praised the historic brotherly relations and the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen these relations and push them towards broader horizons in many areas of constructive and fruitful cooperation.
He pointed out that this relates mainly to the legislative field for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples, given the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in achieving rapprochement between views, unifying aspirations between brothers and exchanging experiences in the parliamentary field.
During the meeting, various aspects of legislative and parliamentary cooperation between the two councils were discussed, in addition to a number of other issues of common interest.
