Oil Minister receives Japanese parliamentary delegation

Manama, Mar. 15 (BNA): Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, received the Japanese parliamentary delegation participating in the 146th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Japan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Miyamoto Masayuki was present.

The meeting discussed enhancing ways of cooperation in the oil and environment sectors between the two countries.

The minister reviewed Bahrain’s role in strengthening the national economy through the development and growth of the oil and environment sector and the launch of several development oil projects and initiatives aimed at preserving the environment and climate.

He stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to create investment opportunities and enhance cooperation with various developed countries in the energy and environment sectors.

The ambassador expressed his appreciation to the minister for his keenness to advance the sectors.

He praised the development witnessed by the environment and energy sectors in the Kingdom, stressing his country’s keenness to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially oil and environmental.
