Manama, November 6 (BNA) His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, met with Dr. Faridoun Al-Fashari, Vice President of the Conference, in the presence of Fayhan Mohammed Al-Faihani, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, to discuss programs and activities related to the activities of the 29th Annual Conference on Petroleum and Gas in the Middle East (MPGC 2022). .
Under the patronage of the Minister of Oil on January 24-25, 2022, MPGC 2022 is organized by Conference Connection in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil and the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco).
On this occasion, the Oil Minister expressed his sincere gratitude for holding this important conference. Where this conference will actually be held in its twenty-ninth edition, which will be an opportunity to highlight the reality and future of the oil and gas industry in the region and the world, and the mechanisms for achieving a balance in energy markets in light of the challenges arising from the Corona pandemic.
The minister stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to organize and host this type of specialized events and conferences because of its reputation in enhancing the Kingdom’s position and benefiting from it in supporting the economic movement and attracting more investments. He wished the conference success in achieving its objectives in a way that would enhance international and local efforts in developing the energy industry.
The minister pointed out that global oil markets are witnessing global challenges and pressures aimed at shifting to clean energy, and attracting many environmentally friendly oil projects that are an environmentally responsible energy source in order to reduce carbon emissions and combat environmental pollution. Noting that the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council have adopted a number of environmental initiatives that contribute strongly to achieving global goals of providing a balanced and sustainable nature for all.
During the meeting, the Minister of Oil was briefed on the arrangements for the 29th session of MPGC 2022, which will bring together a group of CEOs and heads of international oil and gas companies, senior government officials, policy makers, global oil traders and energy experts. and analysts and leading energy organizations. They will discuss important topics such as Energy Markets, Middle East Trade and Price Shift, LNG Trade Outlook, Future Fuels and Energy Transition, Changing Refining Landscape: Another Golden Age and many more topics of interest in the oil sector.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Fereydoun Al-Fashariqi thanked the Minister of Oil for his continuous support and valuable guidance, which contributed to the success of the conference in its previous edition last year.
