Manama, Jan. 10 (BNA): The Chairman of the Sustainable Energy Authority, Dr. Abdul-Hussein bin Ali Mirza, reviewed the pioneering solutions and services that integrate renewable energy resources and technologies into urban development in order to achieve sustainability, help reduce the carbon footprint, and contribute positively to the overall efforts exerted to achieve the goals of National renewable energy and zero carbon targets.
In a virtual meeting with a delegation from the Green Energy Company, a member of the 6 Pence Group, headed by Talal Al Tahoe, Mirza highlighted the most prominent features of the sustainable energy sector and addressed the important dimensions of the SEA vision and mission.
He gave an overview of the renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives in the National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) and the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP) – the main reference for investment plans and projects in this sector.
Mirza also touched on the initiatives and projects that the authority is working to achieve in cooperation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning and the relevant authorities.
Al-Taho stressed the company’s keenness to cooperate with SEA to achieve the plans and visions of the urban development sector.
