Manama, June 7 (BNA): The Governor of the North, Ali bin Sheikh Abdul-Hussein Al-Asfoor, chaired the meeting of the Coordinating Council of the governorate.
The session was attended by the Head of the Municipal Council of the North Region, Dr. Sayed Shubar Ibrahim Al-Wadaei, and representatives of government agencies.
The council discussed environmental issues related to regulatory requirements for building housing designated for gardens and agricultural investment areas to preserve green spaces. He also reviewed the regulatory requirements in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain for construction in relation to green spaces.
The meeting also discussed a review of construction requirements, with readiness to present the recommendations issued by this meeting to the Urban Planning and Development Authority in order to preserve the green zone in the country, in addition to the readiness to provide appropriate treated water. for irrigation.
During the meeting, a video was shown about the Northern Governorate’s celebrations of the fiftieth session of World Environment Day, under the slogan “Overcoming Plastic Pollution”.
