Interior Minister: National unity top priority

Manama, February 2 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa praised in a statement the comprehensive reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He said that the project comes to unify society and the interests of citizens. It protects national values ​​and the rights of citizens in a single national identity.

He said that the reform project emphasizes the values ​​of justice, tolerance, coexistence and openness that push forward progress. He said: “It is based on the principles of the National Action Charter to achieve the goal of the modern state, which is to enable Bahrainis to enjoy their basic rights with responsible justice and freedom within the framework of improving the civilized aspects of Bahrain regionally and internationally.” .

He stressed that the charter and the constitution are inspired by His Majesty the King’s reform project that protects rights and defines responsibilities to protect social cohesion. He pointed out that “the principles include freedom of belief and tolerance between sects and religions as values ​​rooted in Bahrain’s culture and identity.”

He said that the National Action Charter, which will celebrate his birthday soon, defines the rights of all members of society, including women and children. It provides housing, medical and education rights for all to strengthen the bonds between members of society.

The Ministry of Interior said that Bahraini society values ​​its national principles, and there is no place for attempts to undermine civil peace. He stressed that nothing beats national unity, adding that protecting the security and safety of society is a priority to face various situations and challenges.

He pointed out that national responsibility requires commitment to national duties. He concluded by saying, “Strength is in our unity, and it requires the promotion of moderation, tolerance, respect for others, and the renunciation of violence and hatred.”
