NIHR signs agreement with Arab Observatory for Human Rights

Cairo, March 31 (BNA) The Arab Observatory for Human Rights praised the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in promoting human rights. Human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which earned them an advanced level at the Arab, regional and international levels.

This came during the signing of a joint cooperation agreement in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, between the Arab Observatory for Human Rights and the National Institution for Human Rights.

The Arab Observatory for Human Rights affirmed its keenness to enhance cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of human rights, given the Kingdom’s honorable record in this field. He stressed the need for a unified Arab position in international forums to confront the biased campaigns and reports issued by external parties on human rights in Arab countries, which are based on false information.

The cooperation agreement was signed under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Arab House of Representatives, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Observatory, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Al-Darazi.
