Bahraini-Turkish cooperation discussed

Manama, March 31 (BNA) The Bahraini-Turkish Joint Committee held its seventh meeting todayy A meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain chaired by the Minister of Finance and National Economy Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Dr. Noureddin Al-Nabati.

Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa welcomed the Turkish minister and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of continuing efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries mainly in the financial, economic, trade, investment and development fields.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of standardization was signed. The two ministers also reviewed ways of developing cooperation between the two friendly countries in various vital fields, exploring investment opportunities and exchanging experiences.

In the same context, the Minister of Finance and National Economy announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain granted Turkey the status of an “accredited partner” for the International Center for Sea and Air Freight Services in the Kingdom, with the aim of developing links with various economic sectors and attracting investments with a competitive advantage. Where companies based in Turkey will be able to apply for accreditation as operator of this service. The minister expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation to achieve the desired goals and aspirations.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy referred to the Kingdom’s plan for economic recovery and the opportunities it includes, which are in line with strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries. He said that the plan is based on five main priorities, including facilitating commercial procedures and increasing their effectiveness to attract various investments by 2023, implementing major development projects by launching strategic projects in partnership with the private sector, in addition to developing a number of promising projects. sectors such as tourism and logistics.
