NIAD takes Forever Green campaign to Education Area with support from Nogaholding

Manama, December 23 (BNA) The National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) announced that the Oil and Gas Holding Company has contributed to supporting the national campaign “Forever Green” to plant Street 41 in the educational district in the south. Governorate.

The initiative aims to plant more than 5050 trees that achieve environmental goals and contribute to addressing the effects of climate change within the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals plan, on an area of ​​3175 square meters.

The generous support from the company included a large and varied number of trees that suit the climatic nature that characterizes the Kingdom, and to help the oxygen process produced by these trees to reduce environmental pollutants, and to be a natural environment that enhances wildlife.

This contribution comes in line with Bahrain’s national goals to achieve the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the continued interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support the government’s efforts towards achieving zero carbon neutrality by 2060.

The campaign came in implementation of the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and Speaker of the Shura Council Nyad, and the aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King. The King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company, to achieve a continuous renaissance for the agricultural sector and its development.

The trees were planted in the presence of the Secretary General of Niyad Sheikha Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Asim Abdul Latif, Director General of the Southern Governorate, and Nouf Al Suwaidi, Senior Director of Human Resources in the company.
