The CEO of the authority, Dr. Maryam Al-Jalahma, said that the authority has cooperated over the past 18 months with its partners to update the standards of hospitals and medical centers.
Dr. Al-Jalahma pointed out that the work that lasted 18 months resulted in a strong set of standards, which are the first of their kind in the region, as they take into account the national situation as all Bahraini rules, regulations and laws are integrated. In addition to evidence-based standards to ensure best practices in healthcare in the Kingdom.
The CEO of ISQua, Dr. Carsten Engel, praised the efforts made by the authority to obtain recognition of its standards for evaluating the performance of health institutions, noting that the standards presented by the authority were subject to review and scrutiny by independent assessors, and it was confirmed that they are in line with the principles and standards set by ISQua In order to comply with international standards and ensure the accuracy, transparency and comprehensiveness of the evaluation.
He pointed out that the authority’s standards took into account the national frameworks and legislation, which makes it suitable for implementation in the Kingdom on the one hand, and qualifies its status among the best international practices on the other hand.
