NHRA holds Health Regulatory Conference and Exhibition


Manama, October 4 (BNA) The conference of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) included a series of workshops for employees, bodies and investors working in and around the health and medical sector in Bahrain.


The Second Health Regulatory Conference and Exhibition was held under the patronage of the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.


The conference discussed enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of the health system in the Kingdom.


The conference focused on exchanging regional and global experiences, with a focus on the field of medical licenses and their requirements.


The three-day conference recognized the importance of workshops and discussed important topics including medical errors (their investigation procedures), drug registration and licensing procedures (medical supplies), and permanent medical training.


Dr. Maryam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of the authority, confirmed the government’s interest in implementing the conference’s recommendations in partnership with various relevant authorities.

Dr. Al-Jalahma pointed out that the authority’s conference included several workshops over three days and was attended by a large number of representatives of health institutions, professionals, drug supplier companies, agents, medical devices and others.


The conference was attended by more than 800 representatives of the health sector and related associations and representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to professionals, institutions, suppliers of medicines and medical supplies, among others.
