Tom Cruise in Abu Dhabi for Mission Impossible’s ME premiere

Abu Dhabi, June 25 (BNA): Tom Cruise arrived at the airport showroom at Abu Dhabi International Airport, where major parts of the movie “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1” were filmed, ahead of the film’s premiere in the Middle East at Emirates Palace. Mandarin Oriental tomorrow night.

The star of the highly anticipated seventh installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise has arrived on the first flight into the new terminal building at Abu Dhabi International Airport, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The iconic structure of Midfield Terminal has also been decorated with a similar theme to recognize its role in the film, as one of the most spectacular and technically complex action scenes was filmed on the roof of the 315-meter-tall building.

The film marks the first time audiences will see the interior of the building when it hits theaters on July 13. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 also features purpose-built airport sets, including the first-class Etihad Airways lounge, as well as scenes set in the picturesque Liwa desert.

Elena Sorlini, Acting CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, said the scenes shown in the film are a testament to the architecture, scale and design of the iconic airport building, which is inspired by the cultural elements of Abu Dhabi.
