Bahrain bags 3 more gold medals in 15th Arab Games

Oran, July 7 (BNA): Bahrain won more medals in the 15th Arab Sports Games, which are being held in Algeria until July 15th.

Bahrain’s athletics team won three gold and one silver medals, bringing the kingdom’s tally to 20 medals, including 11 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze.

Winfried Yaffe won the gold medal for the women’s 3000-meter hurdles, after recording 9:04:54 minutes, while Punto Robito won the gold medal after finishing the women’s 10,000-meter race in 31:40:02 minutes.

The Bahrain women’s team won the third gold medal, winning the 4 x 100 relay after recording 44:44 seconds.

The Bahraini men’s athletics team won the silver medal in the 4 x 100 relay, after running 40:19 seconds.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, was keen to celebrate the victories of the Bahraini champions through his Instagram account, in line with the continuity of His Highness.
