Industrial Development Assistant Undersecretary participates in INNOPROM International Industry Exhibition

Moscow, July 13 (BNA): Dr. Khaled Fahd Al-Alawi, Assistant Undersecretary for Industrial Development, participated in the 13th INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition, which was held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from 10 to 13 July.

During a dialogue session on “opportunities for international cooperation to expand Russian industrial projects in the Middle East,” Al-Alawi reviewed the industrial sector strategy (2022-2026), which was launched within the framework of the government’s economic recovery plan to develop promising projects. Increasing the contribution of the industrial sector to the gross domestic product, increasing national exports, and creating promising job opportunities for citizens.

Al-Alawi referred to the advantages of investment in Bahrain, and the government’s efforts in developing the industrial sector to support the transition towards the fourth industrial revolution, applying the concepts of the circular carbon economy, and achieving industrial integration to enhance the efficiency of supply chains, especially for the food and pharmaceutical industries, in addition to highlighting the targeted strategic industries.

The discussion session brought together a number of government representatives and heads of authorities from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, in addition to representatives of major Russian factories.

INNOPROM is the first industrial exhibition in Russia and the region, and represents a platform for attracting foreign investments to Russia, as it presents the latest developments of Russian companies in the fields of mining, electronics, cars, ships, agricultural equipment, robotics and information technology.
