MCE Secretary-General cautions against those who exploit Islam for shadowy agendas

Abu Dhabi, July 14 (BNA): The Secretary-General of the Council of Muslim Elders, Judge Muhammad Abd al-Salam, urged the graduates of the second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum to exercise caution and caution towards individuals, institutions, organizations and entities that exploit religion for their political, economic or religious agendas.

Judge Abdel Salam stressed, during the graduation ceremony of the second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum, that religion is an expression of human nature, far from violence, extremism, wars, conflicts and intimidation. He pointed out that the conditions and ideologies adopted by certain entities are the main instigators of such actions that exploit religion as a cover for their hidden agendas.

In his speech, Judge Abdel Salam called on the graduates to continue their journey as peacemakers, indicating that they have the right to be proud and confident in their ability to create peace. He expressed the keenness of the Council of Muslim Elders headed by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and members of the Council to establish a true partnership with the graduates in order to promote peace around the world.

Judge Abd al-Salam expressed his gratitude to His Eminence Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, for his firm belief in youth and their ability to bring about positive change.
